WORLD WIDE WRAP – Sunday morning, February 14, 2027

Kick off your Super Bowl Sunday with a special event. Join us for the World Wide Wrap, an international initiative encouraging Jewish men, women, and children to participate in one of the basic commandments of the Torah: wrapping tefillin. Our goal is to make the practice of laying tefillin accessible to everyone. All congregants are invited to join the Etgar Students for a morning filled with prayer, teaching, fun, and food. Be a part of this meaningful community experience!

Shoah Yellow Candle Packing: Sunday, March 14, 2027, from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. Help pack candles for hand-delivery or mailing to all Beth Sholom Congregation members. The yellow candle reminds us of the yellow star that Jews were forced to wear, identifying them as Jews, and opening them to ridicule and persecution. Each candle features the name, date, and location of a child Holocaust victim, along with a Meditation to offer a prayer in their memory. We light the candle on Yom HaShoah, the evening of Monday, May 3, 2027, to remember the six million who were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators, solely for being Jewish, and to remind us to always stand up in the face of persecution and antisemitism. Volunteers are encouraged, though not required, to deliver approximately 18 candles to congregant residences in our neighborhoods before March 31. We welcome all congregants and their children or grandchildren to participate in packing or delivering the candles.

Guy’s Night Out -Trivia Night – A date, time, and venue will be selected in April 2027. Trivia topics include pop culture, sports, history, and more. Test your knowledge and join the fun! Registration and additional information will be sent in March via congregational emails.

Men’s Club ShabbatApril 17 –The service highlights the participation of the Men’s Club in the religious life of our Synagogue and promotes the Men’s Club within our shul. Multi-generational families (male only, please) and teens enrich our service.

The Men’s Club Closing Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, June 16, 2027 at 6:00 p.m. Registration and additional information will be sent via congregational emails in May and June.
